Fourteen Hours Left
I will celebrate New Year's Eve by sleeping and probably playing a bit of Persona 4.
I celebrated 2001 by watching Gunbuster and 8 years later, I celebrate 2009 by watching Gunbuster again.
History does repeat itself.
My life goes into a 4 year quadrant. It's pretty funny after I've analyzed it.
First Year - The New Life
Characteristics: Perceived "good luck", usually no involvement in any type of relationship or plans to, always having massive future potential but it's all just empty promises. Yet I won't know it until the following three years.
Examples: 1991, 1995, 1999, 2003, 2007
2003 - I went to ABS-CBN, I thought I was gonna be something. The next two years proved otherwise...
1999 - I returned to the Philippines after Jakarta. I thought it was gonna be a restart. The next two years proved otherwise...
2007 - I graduated from film school. The years ahead seemed hopeful... I don't think so...
Second Year - The Setback
Characteristics: What I describe as the "fucked up year". However, it's not really fucked up, I'm just exaggerating due to what I notice surrounding me. It's a year where I try to avoid taking any type of risks but in doing so, I end up crashing and taking it out on myself. Usually a leap year...
Examples: 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008
2004 - I got demoted in ABS-CBN and ended up going for Erin, it fucked up.
2000 - I thought it would be a fine year in college, but everything turned itself around... weird...
2008 - You saw how my year was, full of setbacks and bad karma...
Third Year - The Turning Point
Characteristics: The real "fucked up year" but deep inside I think it's a good year. Yet everyone around me tells me how I've fucked myself up as a consequence from last year. Something will happen that would determine the next quadrant and will also change my life permanently...
Examples: 1993, 1997, 2001, 2005
2005 - The Cesca Year. I thought the year was awesome, everybody else saw me deteriorating. My "resignation" from ABS-CBN...
2001 - Cosplay Year. I ended up cosplaying and look where it got me ^_^
Fourth Year - Restart
Characteristics: From the consequences of last year, I end up restarting. Either I change my direction or slightly to make it fit with my current change. I eventually sets up the next quadrant's direction. Usually an actualization of the turning point.
Examples: 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006
2006 - I moved to Canada as the result of my rash actions in 2005...
2002 - I ended up finishing my college life abruptly the following year changing my direction of staying in college for the 5 year masteral program.
Next year is 2009. From my pattern - it's the "Turning Point"... I wonder what this year will have in store for me...
